Our intrepid Amigo comes back from a holiday - and gets a shock!
Suddenly out of work, he is completely shattered...but then SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED tells him to regard this as a wonderful opportunity to travel freely, without worrying about office, leave approvals and what bosses think.
He takes this advice to heart and travels the length and breadth of India and abroad, and has many adventures - exploring the Himalayan heights of Uttarakhand, Kashmir and Ladakh, the South Indian wonders of Hampi, Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry, Kumbh melas of Nasik and Ujjain, the emerald isle of Sri Lanka, then a bohemian holiday in Thailand... even gets a gun pointed at him in the dead of the night in an ancient fort!
But when is this ‘holiday’ ending? The unemployment period goes on and on for a couple of years...with no end in sight…only an endless pile of refusals and rejection slips! Gah!
But keep your spirits up! Keep the flag flying! Travel... Write... Eat tandoori chicken… Drink beer... Run the marathon… (or at least try…) and read P G Wodehouse!
