Ranakpur

The beautiful marble Jain temple of Ranakpur, near Kumbhalgad
Ranakpur is named after the Rana who gave permission for the temple for it to be built and also contributed generously
It had fallen into disrepair, but now is maintained by a trust and is well kept

Kumbhalgad

The dark and brooding fort built by Rana Kumbha
Kumbhalgad was also the birthplace of the Rajput hero Maharana Pratap
