Ketan Joshi is a biker, backpacker and travel writer.
He is the author of 20 books - including the ‘Three Men on Motorcycles’ series, the ‘One Man Rides Alone’ series, the 'One Man Goes Backpacking' series, the ‘Antarctica trilogy’ - and other works of fiction and non-fiction.
Ketan has travelled to the Arctic and the Antarctic - two hemispheres, 50 countries, and all 7 continents of the world.
He has ‘polar plunged’ in both hemispheres, trekked to Everest base camp, cycled on the Konkan coast, scuba-dived in Bali, snorkelled in the Great Barrier Reef, jumped out of a plane in New Zealand, fell out of a hot air balloon in Australia, bungee-jumped into a Himalayan gorge in Nepal, swam with a humpback whale in Egypt, shark-cage dived in South Africa - and has been thrown off a horse in New Zealand!
He has explored India extensively - on motorcycle, bicycle, public transport and on foot - and has been to all four extreme corners of India. He has motorbiked across all the Himalayan states of India and ridden to the highest road in the world - Umling la, in Ladakh.
Before he started motorcycling, he was a backpacker and trekker- and met his better one-quarter - Bharathi (known to readers as 'SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED') - on a trek to the Everest base camp, in Nepal.
Ketan is an MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and worked as a Sales and Marketing professional for over 20 years in various FMCG companies and IT startups, before jumping ship to become a full-time traveller and writer.
Ketan lives and works in Mumbai, India.
