After a long and tiring ride over some truly awful roads, we reach Assam. We stayed overnight at a campsite, and the next day went to visit Kaziranga national park! WOOHOO! RHINOS, BABY!
I was admiring the cool young name of the minister - when it suddenly struck me that the guys name must be 'Raquib aul Hussain' - the english transliteration must have been done by some really ignorant - or really mischievous - fellow
Ah - the beauty of Kaziranga!
AND WE SEE OUR FIRST RHINO! WHAT A BEAUTY!
Black necked stork
Kazirange panorama
wild buffalo
Asian elephants
We were so charmed by the first safari, that we decided to the evening safari as well - even though it would make for a very late ride into Guwahati.

Thank you Kaziranga! It was a pleasure to meet you!
