What an amazing sight to see mist rising (or settling?) on the water in the early morning. 'Smoke on the water...' 
First sight of Tehri dam backwaters! What an awesome sight! 
The majestic dam wall! A huge edifice indeed to hold back so much water. The road to Mussoorie runs over it. It was going to be a real treat to ride over it. 
I wend my way downwards the green and scenic hills towards Dhanolti and Mussoorie. 
Rainy ride all the way
The beauty of the Dhanaulti mountains. 
The adventure at the end of the ride! My chain finally broke down just 50 km from the end of the ride! I was stuck on the mountain in the middle of nowhere - and divine help came in the form of kindly bikers from Saharanpur! They first tried fixing my bike themselves, and when they couldnt do it - they rode all the way to Landour and brought a mechanic from there! What kind people! Hope Oriental bank gives them a promotion.
