Well, here we are again. SWMBO has challenged us to do 'The Most Dangerous Road in the World' - and we are all excited to do it! We have decided to send the bikes by train to Jammu. We will fly down and collect the bikes and start the ride from Jammu.
We have come to the railway station to send off the bikes - the transport agent knows us well by now and greets us with a cheerful salaam.
He drains the petrol from the bike, removes the mirrors and packs up the bike with old cloth and cardboard to avoid dings and nicks, and then sews them up with old sackcloth for packaging. No plastic, no bubblewrap, no thermocol.

India is the true home of recycling and eco-friendly packaging, because for us, everything is multi-use.
